Our Mission
At Ride Okapi, we believe everyone deserves access to mobility equipment that helps them stay independent — regardless of their financial situation. Through Okapi Cares, we provide gently used mobility equipment to community members in need.
What We Provide
Gently Used Equipment
We donate wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, and canes to individuals who cannot afford them. This equipment comes from our Seattle Mobility Solutions rental fleet after completing its rental lifecycle — not brand new, but clean, safe, and fully functional.
Community Partnerships
We partner with local organizations, churches, and social workers to identify community members who need mobility assistance and connect them with available equipment.
How It Works
When equipment in our rental fleet reaches the end of its rental lifecycle, we inspect it, refurbish it if needed, and make it available through Okapi Cares.
This keeps useful equipment out of landfills and in the hands of people who need it.
Need Assistance?
If you or someone you know needs a wheelchair, walker, or other mobility equipment but can't afford one, reach out to us. Our team reviews all requests and provides equipment as availability allows.
